Planned Updates & Roadmap

We’re actively working to improve and expand the S.A.T. (Smart Auto Turrets) system. Here are a few key features and improvements planned for upcoming versions:


πŸ”„ Compatibility

  • Engine Version Support (UE 5.1+) We're working on full backward compatibility with Unreal Engine 5.1 and 5.3. This will ensure wider support across projects and pipelines that haven't yet upgraded to 5.5.


πŸŽ† VFX: Area of Effect Indicators

  • We're adding visual feedback for turret coverage zones to support tower defense and RTS games more effectively. These VFX will visually display:

    • Search/scan radius

    • Target detection areas

πŸ’‘ These will be toggleable and optionally runtime-updated to suit both gameplay and editor use.


🌐 Replication Support (Multiplayer)

  • Full network replication for all turret behavior is planned. This includes:

    • Target acquisition

    • Projectile spawning and syncing

    • Player-controlled possession

    • Stat updates via upgrades or runtime changes

Multiplayer functionality will be developed with flexibility in mind, so you can choose between simple replication or full server-authoritative logic depending on your game style.
