Planned Updates & Roadmap
Weβre actively working to improve and expand the S.A.T. (Smart Auto Turrets) system. Here are a few key features and improvements planned for upcoming versions:
π Compatibility
Engine Version Support (UE 5.1+) We're working on full backward compatibility with Unreal Engine 5.1 and 5.3. This will ensure wider support across projects and pipelines that haven't yet upgraded to 5.5.
π VFX: Area of Effect Indicators
We're adding visual feedback for turret coverage zones to support tower defense and RTS games more effectively. These VFX will visually display:
Search/scan radius
Target detection areas
π‘ These will be toggleable and optionally runtime-updated to suit both gameplay and editor use.
π Replication Support (Multiplayer)
Full network replication for all turret behavior is planned. This includes:
Target acquisition
Projectile spawning and syncing
Player-controlled possession
Stat updates via upgrades or runtime changes
Multiplayer functionality will be developed with flexibility in mind, so you can choose between simple replication or full server-authoritative logic depending on your game style.
